Obituaries

Patrick Thomas Horrigan, of Ayton, passed away on his own terms by wanting to be home at the farm where he was born surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, July 20, 2024. He was 94.

Born on June 12, 1930 in Normanby Township on the family homestead to the late Lawrence and Margaret (Culliton) Horrigan.

Patrick was a hard working man. He could come across as stern, but really had a great sense of humor and passed on his work ethic to his children and grandchildren. He loved his dog "Ammo" and would always give him treats. He enjoyed a good glass of Jamieson Whisky and always had a Busch beer in the fridge for visitors. He had an amazing outlook on life and always said “that’s the way it goes”. He never let life bring him down and always joked, even during his last moments.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Joan Horrigan (Scoles) and son Larry Horrigan, Survived by children MaryAnne (Don) Daigle, Rosie (Vince) Gambacort, Jim (Bonnie) Horrigan, Brian (Cindy) Horrigan and Shawn (Kathy) Horrigan.
